Not for resale - Copyright - Christopher Scarfe - (1989)
This book was published in 1989 when there was little information
available for the lay person about digestion and absorption, cleansing
diets and the importance of indigestible fibre and bacterial balance in
the gut relative to general health and disease. Now there is a wealth
of published data and readable books on the subject, as well as
increasing exposure in the media.
It was intended as an introduction to the subject and still provides
a foundation from which the reader can explore the importance of a
healthy digestive system in relation to the health and vitality of the
whole person.
Remineralise Now – this article appeared in Optimum Nutrition
Magazine Vol 3 No 1, 1989 and covers the basics of soil
demineralisation and remineralisation. It also outlines the hypothesis
for the coming ice-age, which contradicts much of the thrust of the
present obsession with “man-made global warming”, suggesting that
global warming is a natural part of Earth’s geophysical cycles and is
a precondition for ice ages. See Remineralize The Earth to explore this
subject further.
Myositis - Facts, Feelings and Future Hopes (2003) covers different
types of myositis such as dermatomyositis, polymyositis and
inclusion-body myositis. Myositis is a rare inflammatory, auto-
immune, rheumatic disease mostly affecting the muscles. I wrote a
chapter for the book about nutrition and inflammation which can be
viewed as a PDF document by clicking on the link above. This chapter
is covered by the usual copyright conditions.
